On Sunday, March 23, 2008 Dar El Yatim in Saida celebrated the birth of the prophet Mohamed sponsored by Mrs. Bahiya El Hariri and in the presence of the religious figure Salim Sousan and a huge audience.

The festival started with religious songs like Ya Taybah by Islamic Party. Then there was a poem about Islam and prophet Mohamed and a play about Mosaab Ben Omair. The play tells how he embraced Islam, and how he faced his mom and swore that he would not leave Islam even though she locked him in his room and gave him neither food nor money. The play was also about his participation in Chaswat Ohod and how he fought hard for Islam and how he died bravely to protect his Islam.
At the end of this festival there were special thanks to Mrs. Bahiya, Mr. Salim and the audience.

A woman from the audience told me about her opinion. She said that festivals are very important because they make us remember the manners of Mohammad and Islam and they fill our heart with peace.
